Set up a workspace

On first launch, choose a local or iCloud Drive folder. Next reads and writes your task Markdown files there.

Calendar access

Calendar access is optional. When granted, Next reads events only to display busy time alongside your schedule.

AI providers

AI can run on-device where available, or with a provider you explicitly configure. Your provider’s terms apply to optional cloud AI use.

Notifications

Notifications are optional and scheduled locally on your device for the tasks you choose to plan.

Before you write

Confirm Next can access the selected folder in Files or Finder.
For calendar overlays, check that Calendar access is enabled in system privacy settings.
For optional cloud AI, confirm the provider and API key selected in Next’s settings.

Next is local-first. Read the Privacy Policy for a full description of storage, optional AI providers, permissions, and your choices.
